Crocheted snowflakes can be used in many different way... individual ornaments, a string of snowflakes as garland on a tree or a place to hang your Christmas cards, or something else special
The sign was a gift to my mother-in-law. Her birthday is December 20, so I always try to make her something for winter and not Christmas.
